All photos are useful to us so please note that this is a guide, not a requirement. Photos that do not follow this guide are still incredibly useful and can be uploaded to our project.

How to take the perfect photo
1.
Fish can be photographed in net/water, following any handling requirements by the fishery.
2.
Take the picture horizontally, try to fill your photo with the fish.
Include the entire fish in your image, the best images are taken directly from above of the fish lying on its side.

Make sure the fish is not in half shade.
If the fish has reflection from the sun, move so that your shadow completely covers the fish.

If you can, include an object of known length (a coin, a line on your net, etc.) which can be used as a scale to measure the length of the fish
